16th Annual San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run brings runners, walkers and history lovers to the San Jacinto Battleground in La Porte, near Houston. Lace up and run the battlefield where Texas won its independence. There's a certified 5K run, a 5K walk and a 1K kids run for the next generation of Texas history fans. The course uses professional chip timing, and the top three male and female finishers get celebrated after the race.
