56th Annual Tree Lighting is a holiday tradition at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park in Johnson City, just outside Austin. It's free and it's a great fit for all ages, families included. Expect carolers, a live nativity, Santa Claus, refreshments and the big tree lighting near Park Headquarters. Then head to the Sauer-Beckmann Farm at dusk for a lamp-lit tour decked out for Weinachten, with traditional German Christmas cookies to sample.
