Cinema de la Cultura brings Julio Torres’s Problemista to Hyperreal Film Club for a screening with a community purpose. The surreal comedy pairs Torres’s Alejandro with Tilda Swinton’s formidable presence, finding both tenderness and absurdity in systems that make ordinary life needlessly difficult. Proceeds support American Gateways and its work with immigrants, refugees and survivors of persecution. Doors open at 7 p.m., giving moviegoers time to settle in before the 7:30 p.m. screening.
