First Friday Star Parties is a monthly night of stargazing hosted by MTSU Physics and Astronomy in Murfreesboro. Each session opens with a 30 to 45 minute lecture, then you head out to the telescopes to check out the night sky. The viewing is held at WPS 102 and the MTSU Observatory, and it's weather permitting, so keep an eye on the forecast. It's a laid-back way to see planets, stars and other sky sights up close with people who know their stuff.
