Fred Wesley & the New JB's brings the funk to Jo Long Theatre in San Antonio for a night of electrifying grooves and bold horn work. Wesley is one of the forefathers of funk, the trombonist and bandleader who was James Brown's music director and helped shape the genre's unmistakable sound. The New JBs keep that legacy alive with classics like Pass the Peas, plus soulful jazz, blues and original tunes. Jo Long Theatre is a cozy venue, so you'll feel every rhythm up close.
