Art rather than a fixed collection drives a visit to the Frist, where changing exhibitions bring local, regional, national and international work to downtown Nashville. The former post office adds an architectural reason to look around before you reach the galleries. Give the current exhibition time to set its own pace, then explore the museum's hands-on learning opportunities when available. It is a rewarding choice for visitors who want a creative indoor outing beyond music memorabilia.
