Slow gestures, atmospheric sound and patient camera shots give everyday moments unexpected weight in Janaye Brown’s That Place In Time at Aurora Picture Show. The Houston screening gathers short video works spanning two decades and premieres Rosewood, which considers the different histories of two Galveston burial grounds. Brown joins Aurora’s Sarah Stauder for a conversation afterward, giving viewers a chance to explore the ideas behind the images. Admission is $10 and free for Aurora members.
