The Cunning Little Vixen is an opera by Leoš Janáček, and it's a colorful, wildly original take on the survival of man versus animal. A young fox, trapped by a forester as a cub, makes a dramatic escape in search of the wild life she was meant to live, with hunting, true love and plenty of looking over her shoulder along the way. Australian director Barrie Kosky brings a bold, glitzy new production to the Winspear Opera House in Dallas, packed with vibrant theatricality.
